Bathroom, Kitchen and Laundry Renovations in Baulkham Hills

Baulkham Hills is one of the most established suburbs in the Hills District. Many families have owned their homes for 15 years or more, so most bathroom renovations in Baulkham Hills start with an original room.

With more than 1,600 projects completed, our in-house team handles every stage from design to handover. Kitchens and laundries are managed the same way, with a fixed price agreed before work starts.

Renovating an Established Baulkham Hills Home

Brick homes from the 1970s and 80s line the older streets near Windsor Road and Old Northern Road. They are solidly built, but most date from a time when bathrooms were basic and kitchens suited one cook.

Older homes often hide ageing pipes and tired wiring behind the tiles. We check these early, so they are planned into the fixed price rather than found halfway through the job.

Bathroom Renovations in Baulkham Hills

Many bathrooms and ensuites here still have their original tiles, small vanities and a shower over the bath. Our team handles each bathroom renovation in full, from stripping out and waterproofing to tiling, plumbing and electrical.

Swapping the shower over the bath for a walk-in shower opens up the room straight away. A custom vanity solves the storage problem, and every Baulkham Hills bathroom renovation we complete carries a 10-Year Workmanship Warranty.

Kitchen Renovations in Baulkham Hills

Many kitchen renovations in Baulkham Hills start with a room closed off from the living areas. Bench space is tight and the cupboards were built for a smaller household.

Opening the kitchen layout to the family room is one of the most common changes we make. Polytec cabinetry, Blum drawers and Caesarstone benchtops give the room a finish that lasts.

Kitchen Renovations

Renovating Several Rooms at Once

Long-term owners often fold a laundry renovation into the same project as the bathroom and kitchen. Matching finishes across the rooms gives the whole home a consistent look.

One project also means one period of disruption rather than three. Your project manager sequences the trades so the house stays as liveable as possible.

Renovating to Stay or to Sell

Some owners renovate because they plan to stay another decade. Others want the home ready for sale in a strong Hills District market.

Either way, the goal shapes the design. Staying usually means investing in comfort and storage, while selling means broad appeal and finishes buyers expect.

Our Renovation Process

A clear process removes most of the stress from renovating. Every Baulkham Hills project follows the same five steps.

  1. Quote. A free in-home visit, followed by a detailed fixed-price proposal.
  2. Selections. Choose cabinetry, tiles, tapware and benchtops with your designer. Comparing materials at our Castle Hill showroom makes those decisions much easier.
  3. Contracts. Scope, cost and timeline are confirmed in writing before work begins.
  4. Construction. Your dedicated project manager coordinates our licensed trades throughout.
  5. Handover. A final walkthrough and your 10-Year Workmanship Warranty paperwork.

Our renovation portfolio includes projects across Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill, West Pennant Hills and Glenhaven. It shows how older Hills District homes look after a full update.

Sydney Styles Bathrooms and Kitchen renovated 2 bathrooms and laundry in 2 stages. From start to finish, they were very easy to deal with. During the quote process, Sam listened to what we wanted to happen. Price and timelines provided were reasonable. Lorna, our design consultant, was a star - she helped us decide easily and guided us through the numerous decisions that needed to be made in the design. Anthony, our project manager, was the main hero! He was always ready to answer our questions and made everything seamless. Timelines of both stages were met and he ensured top notch quality. All the trades who worked in the project were all professional, courteous and well-skilled. Even rubbish pickup and deliveries were excellently timed. I highly recommend SSBK! Exceptional service and value for money!

Sydney Styles did a main bathroom and ensuite for us and we are delighted with the results. The process was seamless - from the quote with Sam to showroom design with Caitlin and the actual demolition and construction. Jason (project manager) and his team of trades were excellent and very professional. Jason managed everything brilliantly with me via text and I always knew where we were up to, and which trades were coming next. They gave great suggestions and advice, and we hardly strayed from the initial quote. This was quite amazing given we were demolishing original 1970s bathrooms and I wasn't sure what we would find when we opened them up! I would highly recommend Sydney Styles as they have done a beautiful job. We hope to use them again!

Sam and his team are knowledgeable, patient and experienced, they come up with smart design and practical renovation plan for my old villa. We added a toilet in the rearranged bathroom, and a super mini basin in the second toilet. The project took about five weeks to finish, regular progress update were provided. It has been six months since the work was done and we are pretty happy with it.

First bathroom renovation I’ve ever done. After obtaining three quotes in the local area I went with Sydney styles. They were seamless from the beginning. Lorna was perfect helping an amateur choose fixtures and tiles and put together a great looking bathroom from the start. Jason the job manager was always available always on time and organised each of the trades coming and going seamlessly. The individual trades were beyond expectations. It was all completed very quickly and with very high quality. The team were almost perfect. They come highly recommended! 07/2024 Went with these guys for a second time for a second bathroom renovation. And I’m glad I did. Just as flawless is the first time. And was able to incorporate overlaps from the first design so the two bathrooms matched. Same attention to detail with the initial consultation and design and choice of hardware. The actual construction management and oversight by Gary was fantastic. Everything went without a hitch. He was virtually available 24/7 for questions, and with ideas when the design was tweaked along the way. The trades were great. Polite efficient on time with high-quality work, The end result was perfect. And achieved with an absolute minimum of stress and disruption. Couldn’t be happier.

Sydney Styles Bathrooms and Kitchens estimator Sam very competently drew up our quote and handed us over to the Hornsby showroom staff Caitlin and Norma who were very pleasant and welcoming as we attended the showroom to choose new fittings and fixtures for two laundries. The choices were easy and we were soon finished. We are happy with the final result but the total price was a little bit expensive for a few cabinets and a bit of plumbing and tiling. All the tradespersons were amenable and did a good job although there was some confusion for the demolition team since the instructions didn’t actually say “remove wall tiles” but only “retain floor tiles”. The demo team cleaned up after removing the old cabinets but then forgot to clean up after then removing the old wall tiles. They also neglected to turn the mains water back on after a rush to turn it off when an under-sink tap was removed mistakenly. We think also the demolition could have been done closer to the time that the new cabinets were to be installed in order to shorten the time without a workable laundry. It was a little difficult to pin down the project manager as to which dates the tradespersons were due to come and we had some wrangling to do in order that the dog was taken care of while the tradespersons’ dates changed. Fortunately, as it turned out, someone at Harvey Norman didn’t properly lodge our order with Miele for a washer to be delivered on Monday 30 September when it couldn’t have been installed as the plumbing had not been finalised. One of the laundries required some extra plumbing and this was completed very capably by Paul and his offsider, as was the electrical work by Mitch. The carpenter (can’t remember his name) was most amenable on the last day when we were concerned about how a couple of finishing touches would be dealt with but he fixed them up. Overall we are satisfied with the finished product and apart from a couple of small hitches would quite happily recommend Sydney Styles to handle any laundry renovations.
We recently had the pleasure of working with Sydney Styles Bathrooms and Kitchens for the renovation of our master bathroom. The team delivered exceptional results and completed the project right on schedule. From the initial consultation to the final touches, every step was handled efficiently and with great care. Our new bathroom looks amazing, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We highly recommend Sydney Styles Bathrooms and Kitchens for anyone looking to transform their space with a reliable and skilled team.

This has to be one of the most professional companies we have ever worked with! We are absolutely delighted with our 2 bathrooms. From day 1, meeting Caitlyn in the showroom and who helped us with our choices, to the end of the project, nothing was left to chance. Each tradesman and company representative was polite, punctual and professional and all project management was done for us. We couldn't ask for more and, being very particular, would highly recommend their services.

FAQs

Replacing ageing pipes is a common part of renovating older Baulkham Hills homes. We check the plumbing during the quote, so any work needed is included in the fixed price.

Most families stay at home while the work is underway. Your project manager plans each stage to keep the disruption as low as possible.

Most bathroom or kitchen renovations take four to eight weeks of on-site work. Older homes can need extra preparation, which we outline clearly in the quote.

Combining a bathroom, kitchen and laundry into one project is something we do regularly. It gives a more consistent finish and keeps the disruption to a single period.
