Bathroom Renovations

Hills District
The Hills District is one of our busiest areas, covering Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, Kellyville and Cherrybrook. Many homes here are brick family houses, and clients often visit our Castle Hill showroom before choosing finishes.
As local bathroom renovators, we see the same 1980s layouts again and again across the Hills District. That familiarity helps us plan each job quickly and price it accurately.
Upper North Shore
Federation homes and post-war brick houses are common across Hornsby, Wahroonga, Turramurra and Pymble. Briefs here focus on quality finishes that suit the home, and our Hornsby showroom stocks the full range.
Older homes in this area often need extra care with waterproofing and ventilation. We plan for these details early, so they are built into the fixed price.
Central Coast
On the Central Coast, we work on older homes in Gosford and Narara and newer ones in Erina and Terrigal. Many clients are first-time renovators, and seeing materials at our Erina showroom makes choosing much easier.
Central Coast bathroom renovations also need finishes that cope with salty air and humidity. We choose tapware and surfaces that hold up well near the coast.

Sydney Styles Bathrooms and Kitchen renovated 2 bathrooms and laundry in 2 stages. From start to finish, they were very easy to deal with. During the quote process, Sam listened to what we wanted to happen. Price and timelines provided were reasonable. Sydney Styles did a main bathroom and ensuite for us and we are delighted with the results. The process was seamless - from the quote with Sam to showroom design with Caitlin and the actual demolition and construction. Jason (project manager) and his team of trades were excellent and very professional. Jason managed everything brilliantly with me via text and I always knew where we were up to, and which trades were coming next. They gave great suggestions and advice, and we hardly strayed from the initial quote. This was quite amazing given we were demolishing original 1970s bathrooms and I wasn't sure what we would find when we opened them up! I would highly recommend Sydney Styles as they have done a beautiful job. We hope to use them again!

Sam and his team are knowledgeable, patient and experienced, they come up with smart design and practical renovation plan for my old villa. We added a toilet in the rearranged bathroom, and a super mini basin in the second toilet. The project took about five weeks to finish, regular progress update were provided. It has been six months since the work was done and we are pretty happy with it.

First bathroom renovation I’ve ever done. After obtaining three quotes in the local area I went with Sydney styles. They were seamless from the beginning. Lorna was perfect helping an amateur choose fixtures and tiles and put together a great looking bathroom from the start. Jason the job manager was always available always on time and organised each of the trades coming and going seamlessly. The individual trades were beyond expectations. It was all completed very quickly and with very high quality. The team were almost perfect. They come highly recommended!

Went with these guys for a second time for a second bathroom renovation. And I’m glad I did. Just as flawless is the first time. And was able to incorporate overlaps from the first design so the two bathrooms matched. Same attention to detail with the initial consultation and design and choice of hardware. The actual construction management and oversight by Gary was fantastic. Everything went without a hitch. He was virtually available 24/7 for questions, and with ideas when the design was tweaked along the way. The trades were great. Polite efficient on time with high-quality work, The end result was perfect. And achieved with an absolute minimum of stress and disruption. Couldn’t be happier.

Sydney Styles Bathrooms and Kitchens estimator Sam very competently drew up our quote and handed us over to the Hornsby showroom staff Caitlin and Norma who were very pleasant and welcoming as we attended the showroom to choose new fittings and fixtures for two laundries. The choices were easy and we were soon finished.
We are happy with the final result but the total price was a little bit expensive for a few cabinets and a bit of plumbing and tiling.
All the tradespersons were amenable and did a good job although there was some confusion for the demolition team since the instructions didn’t actually say “remove wall tiles” but only “retain floor tiles”. The demo team cleaned up after removing the old cabinets but then forgot to clean up after then removing the old wall tiles. They also neglected to turn the mains water back on after a rush to turn it off when an under-sink tap was removed mistakenly. We think also the demolition could have been done closer to the time that the new cabinets were to be installed in order to shorten the time without a workable laundry.
It was a little difficult to pin down the project manager as to which dates the tradespersons were due to come and we had some wrangling to do in order that the dog was taken care of while the tradespersons’ dates changed. Fortunately, as it turned out, someone at Harvey Norman didn’t properly lodge our order with Miele for a washer to be delivered on Monday 30 September when it couldn’t have been installed as the plumbing had not been finalised.
One of the laundries required some extra plumbing and this was completed very capably by Paul and his offsider, as was the electrical work by Mitch. The carpenter (can’t remember his name) was most amenable on the last day when we were concerned about how a couple of finishing touches would be dealt with but he fixed them up.
Overall we are satisfied with the finished product and apart from a couple of small hitches would quite happily recommend Sydney Styles to handle any laundry renovations.

Do you work with older homes?
Older homes make up a large part of our work across all three regions. We often work with Federation, post-war and fibro homes, and we explain what is possible before work starts.
Do I need to visit a showroom before getting a quote?
A showroom visit is never required, as every project starts with a free in-home quote. Most clients still find that visiting before choosing finishes makes the decision much easier.
Do you renovate apartments and townhouses?
Apartments and townhouses are a regular part of our work across Sydney and the Central Coast. Each renovation is planned around the layout and any strata or building rules that apply.
